DIRECTV Residential Experience (DRE)

DRE is an in-room receiver solution for low budget hotels and healthcare institutions which do not need the extra features of a managed system.  It has the capability to provide up to 100 HD channels and the interactive HD guide.  The cost is lower without the management system equipment, so it brings the DRE advantage to properties which may not be able to afford the management system and do not need the managed features.  This course contains information on the DRE system along with D2 advantage.  To order this course CLICK HERE

DRE Plus

DRE Plus is designed for Lodging and Institutions properties which wish to have the advantages of DRE and a managed solution.  Dealers who will be selling and installing DRE Plus will need D2A certificaiton and must take the DRE classroom course which is offered through their approved DIRECTV distributor.  DRE Plus certification is NOT available online. 
  • 2 Day Course, with test given at the end of the day
  • An 85% or better is needed to pass
  • 1 Free retake of the test is available should the tech not pass. 

Authorized distributors offer hands-on, in depth  training courses.
